The Moberly City Council voted to appoint a new Emergency Management Director after previous director Donald Ryan resigned from the position.

The council voted to appoint Moberly 911 Director Shelby Creed to the vacant position. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says Creed’s experience as the 911 Director makes her perfect for this new role.

 

Ryan, who also serves as Chief of the Moberly Fire Department, will now become the Assistant Emergency Management Director.

In other news, the council voted to renew a Memorandum of Understanding with the Missouri Department of Corrections for dog training services.

 

The council’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 2nd.
