Organizers of the 45th Slater Wildcat Classic will wait a day before starting the annual tournament on the Joe Kleine Roscoe White Floor.

The move comes as Slater and a handful of other schools called off classes for Monday, Jan. 26 because of the weekend’s snow and extreme cold. Activities director Joe Gochenour tells KMMO Sports that games for the first two rounds will be pushed back a day, with girls first-round action now scheduled for Tuesday, while the boys will tip things off Wednesday. Six of the eight placement games will take place beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the seventh-place games no longer on the schedule.
