Once the roads are cleared, the Missouri Department of Transportation has three maintenance projects across Northern Missouri they plan to tackle.
In Carroll County, crews are expected to continue their brush-cutting operations this week along Route W, from Route T east to U.S. Route 65. The work each day from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. will narrow traffic to one lane on the roadway, with flag crews guiding motorists through the work zone. In Linn County, westbound U.S. Route 36 over the Turkey Creek outside of Laclede will be narrowed to one lane throughout the week as bridge maintenance continues.
In Macon County, Route V around the Anabel area will have more culverts slated for replacement this week. The work is expected to close the highway from U.S. Route 36 south to South First Street over a three-day period from 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
All work is weather permitting. Drivers are reminded to pay attention in work zones and to check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map for the latest road conditions and work zones.
