The Boonville R-1 School District didn’t have to look very far to find its next Superintendent, with the Board of Education appointing current High School Principal Dr. Brent Hodge to that role for the 2026-2027 school year.

Hodge has served as the district’s High School Principal since the 2023-2024 school year. Hodge succeeds current Superintendent Mark Harvey, who is retiring effective July 1st. Hodge credited Harvey for his leadership over the past several years.

 

Even though the transition to his new role won’t be complete until July, Hodge already several priorities in mind for the district.

 

Hodge holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology Education from the University of Central Missouri, a master’s and Specialist degree from William Woods University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University. The Boonville R-1 School District now turns its attention to searching for its next High School Principal.
