One of the clinics that Fitzgibbon Hospital announced in December would close will now remain open.

The hospital announced the change in plans the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 10, saying that they will keep open its pain management clinic, retaining the services of Wally Ralston. When the hospital’s board of trustees announced cuts made in December, plans at the time were for Ralston’s clinic to remain open until March.

In a statement, President and CEO Angy Littrell said that a new agreement with Ralston will result in him continuing to serve patients on the second floor of Fitzgibbon Hospital twice a month. Littrell went on to say that: “we know this is a great need for many in our community, and I’m very happy we have reached an agreement for him to continue to see patients here.”
