Four teenagers, including one identified as an adult, were arrested Wednesday, Feb. 11 after a pursuit that stemmed from a reported robbery at gunpoint in Marshall.
According to Marshall Police, officers responded just after 3 p.m. to Indian Foothills Park, where a juvenile called Saline County E-911 to report that they had been robbed of their clothing and personal items at gunpoint, then struck in the head with a gun and left behind while the assailants fled the scene. Police used the park’s camera system to identify the license plate information of the suspect vehicle.
That vehicle was spotted at about 3:25 p.m. in Sedalia on North Ohio, according to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders. Sheriff Anders tells KMMO News that his deputies began a pursuit of the vehicle, which re-entered Saline County before heading on Interstate 70, then turning back into Pettis County along Route J. The suspect vehicle then crashed just past Route N at 3:48 p.m. All four suspects—an 18-year-old male and three juveniles—were taken into custody by Saline County deputies, with two of them receiving treatment for minor injuries incurred in the crash.
Charges against all four are pending. KMMO News policy is to not publish the names of suspects until they formally charged.
