Mildred I. Bryson, 95, of Slater, died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at her home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Slater City Cemetery, with Larry Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Leimkuehler, Adam Hubbard, Dillion Dunsmore, Bo Jackson, Randy Morton, and Christopher Bryson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Peuster, Darrell Durham, Larry Dunsmore, Richie Bryson, and Gary Romine, Jr. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born December 2, 1930 near New Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Nannie Fizer Morton.
She is survived by five children, Gary Lee Romine, Sr., Danny Bryson and his wife Joy, Willie Bryson, Millie Peuster and her husband Tom, and Bonnie Jackson, all of Slater; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Bo, Gary, Jamie, Mindy, Sandy, Christopher, Billie, and Jacob; twelve great-grandchildren, MaKayla, Dillion, Keylee, Maverick, Jett, Maci, Kirby, Layla, Harper, Neil, Adler, and Sunny; three-great-great-grandchildren, Kingston, Athena, and Serenity; and a brother, A.C. Morton of Slater. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Trudy Bryson; five brothers, Edward Morton, Kenneth Morton, Curtis Morton, George Morton, and Harold Morton; three sisters, Lucille Durham, Mary Bryson, and Betty Martin; and a son-in-law, Mark Jackson.

Ms. Bryson was a lifelong Saline County resident. She was a loving babysitter for many area children.
