A culvert replacement project scheduled for this week in northern Linn County may impact the drive to and from school.
Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation have scheduled a culvert replacement beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17 for Route KK north of Gage Road, past the Linn County R-I campus. Work will take place each day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with drivers needing to find detours while the work is underway.
Culvert replacements will also close down portions of Route V through eastern Macon County this week. Crews are scheduled to close the roadway through the Anabel area Tuesday from First Street to Vine Street, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will then replace culverts between First Street and U.S. Route 36 on Wednesday, then close the highway between Oxford and Mahogany streets Thursday and Friday also from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also in Macon County, northbound U.S. Route 63 will go down to one lane for shoulder work Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Lake Street and Kale Road. A 15-foot lane restriction will also go in place during the work.
Roadside work continues on Route 5 through Howard County this week, with one lane remaining open along portions of the highway between U.S. Route 40 and Route DD. Shoulder work also continues on U.S. Route 50 in eastern Moniteau County, from the Cole County line west to Flag Spring Road outside California.
All work is weather permitting. The latest road closures and work zone information is available on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map.
