A project to add J-turns along U.S. Route 50 through Johnson County will resume next month, after crews paused for the winter.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that the series of intersection improvements along the highway, including J-turns, from Business Route 50 west to Route 58 will resume in March, with an updated completion date of June. The original completion date of the project was in December; however, MoDOT says a majority of the work is complete. Lane closures will occur in both directions of Route 50 when the work resumes. All work is weather permitting.

MoDOT reminds motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. The latest road and lane closures can be found on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map.
