A driver from the state of California was killed early Thursday, Feb. 19 when his tractor trailer overturned on Interstate 70 east of Boonville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the truck went off the left side of the interstate’s westbound lanes around 1:50 a.m. at mile marker 111. Troopers say the truck returned to the roadway before overturning. The 32-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene about 30 minutes later. The patrol says this is the fifth fatality recorded by Troop F this year.
