The Missouri Department of Transportation has delayed two bridge projects scheduled for this year in Linn County.

The department says that the project to replace the bridge deck for Route U over Long Branch, northwest of Bucklin, will now begin March 2. That’s a week later than initially scheduled, which MoDOT says is because of changes in contractor schedules. Because of the delay, a project to replace the bridge deck for the Route B bridge over Parsons Creek north of Meadville will now begin May 4. Louis-Company LLC was awarded the project in October at a price tag of $1,996,563.70.
