
The Carrollton Town Council addressed a citizen complaint during their meeting Wednesday night concerning drivers speeding through the town’s neighborhoods.
Mayor Keith Higgins says the council discussed the complaint from resident Dustin Brown as part of their agenda.
Higgins says city leaders are taking steps to get drivers to slow down.
Also during Wednesday’s meeting, the Carrollton Town Council approved the rezoning of a property on North Ely from A-1 to R-1, after the public hearing at the beginning of the meeting saw no opposition lodged. The council also agreed to hiring Bartlett and West as the consultant on the town’s TAP Grant application, and accepted the lone bid for fuel from MFA Oil. Lastly, the council agreed to extend the lease-to-purchase agreement for a city-owned property on Municipal Drive and approved a resolution submitting this year’s application for clean water funding from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
