Betty Ann Hupp, 89, of Slater, died Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Slater United Methodist Church, with Susie Bliss officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery, with Chris Blumhorst, Kevin Hoflander, George Smith, Clint Shackles, David Leimkuehler, and Robert Schmidt serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the church. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born September 13, 1936 in rural Slater, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Lillian Oberkrom Blumhorst. On June 28, 1963 in Saline City, she married Roscoe Hupp, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2015.

She is survived by two sons, David Hupp of Columbia, and Michael Hupp and his wife Belinda of Slater; a grandchild, Theodore LeBrun; a sister, Marilyn L. Gibbs-Smith and her husband Don of Higginsville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Hupp was a member of Salem Evangelical Church in Saline City. She was a 1954 graduate of Slater High School. She had been the custodian at St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Orearville School District for twenty-nine years. She had also worked in home health.
