A second water main repair is underway in Moberly, which will put a neighborhood in the southern part of the city under a boil advisory through Friday, Feb. 27.
The city’s water office announced Wednesday morning that crews have closed Daly Drive in order to repair the water main along that roadway. Residents along this roadway, along with all of Chrisman Lane, Merrill Lane, Thomas Street, Tuley Road, the 700 and 914 blocks of East Urbandale, and a nearby portion of Ravenwood Drive, will all go under a boil advisory once service is restored. Residents in this area who experience low water pressure or a loss of water service will need to bring their water to a boil for three minutes, then allow it to cool before consuming. Customers with questions are asked to call the Moberly water office at 660-263-4420.
The advisory comes as crews also spent part of the week repairing the water main along East Hinton, with a boil advisory still in effect for part of that neighborhood. Separately, city crews and utility contractors have closed part of East Carpenter at Gratz Brown Road for Wednesday, while Sixth Street between Rollins and Fisk is closed until Monday.
