The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is reminding Missouri hunters and anglers that related annual permits expire at the end of February, including 2025 permits for small game, fishing, trout fishing, and combination hunting and fishing.

Annual permits are available for purchase. MDC Saline County Conservation Agent Chase Wright says residents have multiple ways to go about renewing their permits.

Residential fishing permits will be $14, while small game hunting permits will be $11.50. Residents can bundle the permits together at a reduced cost of $22.50. The permits will be in effect until the end of February 2027. Permits for spring turkey hunting and some other upcoming hunting seasons will be available closer to the start of the respective season.

Commercial and lifetime permits can be purchased only through the MDC Permit Services Unit by calling 573-522-0107 for an application. Those with questions are encouraged to contact their local county’s agent or visit MDC’s website.
