The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen appointed a new member to fill the vacancy left after the resignation of Tom Charrette in Ward 3.

Charrette resigned from his position during the board’s meeting Tuesday evening. City Administrator Cameron Jackson says Charrette previously served as the City’s Mayor and Police Chief, and is now retiring after many years as a public servant.

Mayor Perry Byerly appointed Wendy Wray, who will serve out the remainder of the term, which concludes in April. The seat is on the ballot for the April 7th Municipal Election. Wray was administered the Oath of Office to Alderman during the meeting.
