The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen held a discussion and took the first steps towards updating its City Building Codes.
Aldermen considered updating its building code during its meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd. City Administrator Cameron Jackson says the board is interested in adopting the 2024 International Building Code.
Jackson states the city has opened a 60-day comment period to seek input regarding the code and any challenges present in Knob Noster.
In other news, the board voted to request bids for a merry-go-round at Mitch Franklin Park and concepts for a mural at Charlie Norman Park. Aldermen also approved a revision of the city’s water and sewer connection policy, updating what city staff are allowed to permit and allowing people outside the corporate limits of Knob Noster to be connected into the city’s water and sewer infrastructure with approval from the city.
