An Oak Grove woman was injured in a crash after striking a deer on U.S. Highway 50 in Johnson County on Friday, March 6th.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by the 39-year-old Oak Grove woman struck a deer while traveling westbound on Highway 50 near Northwest 1601 Road at 7:27 p.m.

The driver had moderate injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. Troopers report the woman was wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident.
