
Several city and school boards will have their monthly meetings Monday, March 9.
The Odessa Board of Aldermen will consider both readings of a measure to amend the city’s electric rates and energy cost adjustments when they meet Monday at 6 p.m. Aldermen will also consider a pool management agreement for the season ahead and a letter of intent with the West Central Missouri Solid Waste Management District Region F, demonstrating the city’s commitment to provide hazardous waste services. Meanwhile, the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen will begin their meeting at 5:45 p.m., with the agenda including discussion on a concession building in the city’s park.
The Glasgow Board of Aldermen meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., as aldermen will hear an update on the situation with the Stump Island bridge, and consider whether to increase the pay of the city’s prosecutor. A number of old business items will come back before aldermen in Blackburn on Monday evening when they meet beginning at 7 p.m., including updates on park equipment and plans to mill and repave First, Fifth, and Rea streets.
Three school boards are slated to meet Monday evening. Sedalia School District 200 will begin their meeting at 6 p.m., with discussion expected on parking and traffic flow at Sedalia Middle School and Smith-Cotton Junior High, as well as setting the date for a public hearing on a proposed round of lease purchase funding through the Missouri Association for Rural Education for renovations at the middle school, junior high, and Whittier High School. The Keytesville R-III School Board is also scheduled to meet at 6 p.m., while Norborne R-VIII will have their monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
