The Concordia Board of Aldermen approved a contract with SMICO Contracting Group for retrofitting work at the North Lift Station.
The board agreed to retrofit the lift station with submersible pumps during a previous meeting. City Administrator Dale Klussman says the submersible pumps provide several benefits for the city and the station.
The contract with SMICO was approved in the amount of $88,470.
In other news from Monday’s board meeting, Aldermen held a discussion regarding an application for a T-Mobile Community Grant. Klussman says Parks and Recreation Director Aaron Marsh is applying for the grant to help fund the purchase of four wireless scoreboards.
The board also approved a $4,200 bid from John Nelson to paint an aluminum shed at Edwin A. Pape Lake.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6th.
