A two-vehicle crash Sunday, Mar. 29 east of Marshall sent a Marshall man to hospital with serious injury.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 84-year-old man was seeking to cross Route 240 onto Eastwood Street in his SUV around 8:55 p.m. Sunday, when he drove into the path of an eastbound pickup driven by a 59-year-old man from Slater. The pickup struck the SUV and ended up in a ditch, while the SUV came to rest in the roadway.

The Marshall driver was flown to a Columbia hospital for treatment of serious injuries, while the Slater driver had no reported injuries.
