
With eight days to go until the April 7, 2026 municipal election, county clerks and election officials are busy making the final preparations for counting the votes.
In Saline County, that means testing the equipment that will handle and tabulate ballots. Clerk Brittni Burton says the required public test is scheduled for Thursday.

Burton has also scheduled the date when her office will certify the vote counts.
No-excuse absentee voting is underway in the Saline County Clerk’s office until next Monday. The polls April 7 will open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All counties in Missouri will need to conduct a public test of their equipment. That includes Johnson County, who has announced their public test for Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. in Room 108 of the Reese Educational Center on West Market Street in Warrensburg.
