The Slater City Council entered into a contract with Vance Brother Inc on Tuesday for the city’s 2026 street improvements.

City Administrator Gene Griffith says Vance Brothers will be completing chip and seal and crack filling work in the city.

 

The contract was approved in the amount of $154,000.

The council also approved a $5,700 contract with J&M Displays for the city’s July 4th fireworks display. The city is also hosting a rabies shot clinic from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Slater Volkfest Building.
