An apartment fire in Sedalia on Monday, Apr. 20 is under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office.

Sedalia Fire Chief Matt Irwin tells KMMO News that crews responded to the fire just after noon Monday at an apartment on Albright Court. One apartment unit was damaged in the blaze, while another experienced smoke damage. One firefighter reported a shoulder injury and was treated and released. Crews were on the scene for over two hours. Firefighters believe the fire to be suspicious and have referred the incident to the state fire marshal’s office.
