High School students from Marshall and Slater have been invited to take part in a mock election hosted by the Saline County Clerk’s Office on Monday, April 27.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Martin Community Center in Marshall. Approximately 90 students from both high schools will take part. Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton says the mock election will help get future voters familiar with the voting process at the polls.
Burton says state and county elected officials will be present, along with representatives from various state election authorities.
Members of both the Republican and Democratic Committees will also be in attendance to assist with voter registration for eligible students.
