Jerry L. Durham, 74, of Slater, died Monday, May 11, 2026 at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at Sharon, with Terry Jordan officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the cemetery in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born August 19, 1951 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Harvey and Mary Ann Marshall Durham.  On September 15, 1973 in Carrollton, he married Sarah Elizabeth Watts, and she preceded him in death on September 29, 2021.

He is survived by two daughters, Laura Durham of Slater, and Paula Bales of Salisbury; four grandchildren; a sister, Helen McCormick of Slater; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; and a brother, Eddie Durham.

Mr. Durham was a 1970 graduate of Slater High School; a member of the FORR; and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a heavy equipment operator for many years until his retirement.
