The Marshall-Saline Development Corporation Board of Directors reviewed its insurance renewal from Assured Partners during its meeting on Tuesday, May 12.

MSDC Director Conner Swift presented the renewal rate to the board, which is about 30 percent higher that the rate from the expiring deal. Swift says the spike was caused by the vandalism reported at the former Northwest Elementary School.

 

The board didn’t make a decision at Tuesday’s meeting. Their current plan with Assured Partners expires on June 15.

In other news, Swift updated the board on a Downtown Revitalization Plan being put together by new Sweet Springs Mayor Rick Clemens.

 

The board will next meet on Tuesday, June 9.
