After being concerned about the sales-tax revenue the city has received for his department for the previous three months, Marshall Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jeff Stubblefield was more optimistic during his report at the meeting of the park board on Wednesday, January 3.
Stubblefield said the numbers are up quite a bit.

Stubblefield added, the budget numbers the rest of the year will be skewed from last year due to donations the department received to help pay for phase one of the Lyon Bowl Renovation Project.

In other news, Stubblefield said the park department still is accepting Christmas trees to be recycled. If you want to drop off your tree, he asks you to leave it at the parking lot next to Guthrey Playground at Indian Foothills Park.
