Saline County Relay for Life Chairperson Laura Jackson was at the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 23, and asked the commission to approve a request.

Jackson said the event is scheduled to last throughout the afternoon and evening.

Jackson said more details on the event still are being worked out.
The commissioners approved her request.
