A Sedalia resident suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Pettis County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a northbound vehicle, driven by 64-year-old Larry Milks, of Sedalia, reportedly attempted to overtake and struck a northbound vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Nichole Wade, of Calhoun, in the rear. While Wade’s vehicle reportedly came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the roadway, the Milks vehicle reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, down an embankment and struck the ground.
Milks, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Pettis County ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of minor injuries. Wade reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened just after 10:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 65, south of Ryan Road.
