The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is offering some tips to help promote responsible driving after the conclusion of the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3.
According to a news release, the agency is offering the following tips to make sure everyone arrives home safely after the big game ends: Designate a sober driver, or plan another way to get home safely; Never let friends drive if they’ve had too much to drink, and help them make safe travel arrangements; and if hosting a party, stop serving alcohol at the end of the third quarter of the game.
Also, preliminary numbers from 2017 show 175 people were killed and 581 were seriously injured in Missouri crashes that involved a substance-impaired driver.
The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety says that impaired driving is not worth causing a traffic crash, serious injury or even death, and hopes everyone makes good decisions regarding travel arrangements after the festivities.
