Each of two Sedalia teens were injured in a traffic accident in Pettis County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of an eastbound vehicle, 17-year-old Rogelio Piedra, reportedly attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway causing the vehicle strike a tree.
Piedra, and occupant, 17-year-old Mildred Mejia-Diaz, each reportedly were transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment of minor injures.
The accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Sacajawea Road, east of Tiger Pride Boulevard.
