The Saline County Commission announced a couple of important dates regarding the April Municipal Election and the Saline County Task Force during its meeting on Tuesday, February 20.
Saline County Clerk Debbie Russell stated absentee voting is currently underway and residents not registered to vote have a few weeks left to do so.

In other business, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner made a quick announcement regarding the next Saline County Task Force meeting.

The Task Force was formed to discuss the allocation of proceeds within the county, provided the half-cent sales-tax measure for economic development is approved by voters on April 3.
