A power outage affected a good portion of the town of Marshall for a while on Wednesday, February 21.
MMU General Manager Kyle Gibbs says power to most of Marshall was knocked out about 1:30 p.m. He explains what happened at one of the substations just north of the railroad tracks on North Miami Avenue affected the power.
Gibbs said there are two transformers– Miami 1 and Miami 2– at that substation.
Gibbs is hopeful the power to the entire town will be restored by 3:30 p.m. or so. He said they should find out more about what happened later on today.
Traffic lights at several intersections were affected, as well.
