A Jackson County resident sustained injuries in a three-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Saturday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as eastbound vehicles, driven by 36-year-old Matthew Blinzler, of Independence, and 34-year-old Blane Rogers, of Lexington, reportedly were stopped in the left lane of the roadway for another incident. The Blinzler vehicle reportedly was struck in the rear by another eastbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Abilene Mosher, of Odessa. The Blinzler vehicle reportedly traveled into the median, overturned and blocked the eastbound lanes. The Mosher vehicle reportedly also struck the Rogers’ vehicle.
Blinzler reportedly was transported by Odessa E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment of minor injuries. The other two drivers reportedly were not injured.
The crash happened at about 3:20 p.m. at the 31 mile marker on I-70.
