Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day said a siren project that started last year is progressing. But it still will take some time to get the sirens in condition to be distributed.
Day said he purchased several sirens last year.

Day said he wants other sirens– all of which are multi-functional, allowing voice commands to be given such as like a public-address system– to be distributed throughout other communities in the county.

Day said it’s still going to take quite some time, but progress is being made.
