The Saline County Commission discussed a request for the use of the courthouse lawn for a summertime event during its meeting on Tuesday, March 20.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthery Jr. explains the request for the event and made a recommendation for approval.

In other business, Clerk Debbie Russell said residents who want vote by an absentee ballot can completed the process quickly.

Russell added the courthouse will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 31, for absentee voters, with the last day to vote absentee is by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2.
