The Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education named Steve Triplett as the district’s next superintendent on Friday, March 23.
According to a news release, Triplett (left) is currently the assistant superintendent and knows the district very well as he has been working in the district as a teacher, coach and administrator since 1993.
Triplett graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1983 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Missouri Southern State College in 1989. He also earn his Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Central Missouri in 2001 and his Education Specialist in Administration certification from William Woods University in 2008.
Superintendent Brad Pollitt’s retirement is effective June 30, and Triplett is scheduled to take over the position on July 1.
