There will be a new employee at the Saline County Sheriff’s Department after the county commissioners approved a request made by Sheriff Cindi Mullins.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave the details during the commission meeting on Thursday, April 5.
Commissioners gave the OK to the request, and Leimkuehler is scheduled to start on April 16.
Commissioners also approved a request for more than $240,000 to be transferred to the sheriff’s department’s account.
In other news, the commissioners were asked to approve a request from Stephen J. Olson, of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558.
The commissioners approved Olson’s request.
