A Fayette woman who had felony charges against her dropped in a case relating to the suicide of an area teenager in 2016, is scheduled to be back in court relating to a new charge in the case this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, Harley Kaitlynn Branham is alleged to have harassed Kenneth Suttner, causing emotional distress, between October 6 and November 30, 2016. She originally was charged with a felony for involuntary manslaughter after the findings of a Coroner’s Jury in January 2017.
According to online court documents, during a court proceeding on March 7, Branham waived her formal arraignment hearing and entered a plea of not guilty on newer charges of a Class D Felony for Aggravated Stalking, two counts of a misdemeanor for assault in the third degree and two counts of a misdemeanor for harassment.
Saline County Associate Circuit Judge Hugh Harvey has been assigned to the case, and a hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 13, at Howard County Circuit Court.
