Two Carrollton residents charged with felonies for an alleged incident of kidnapping and assault earlier this year, are both due for court appearances in Carroll County on Tuesday, May 1.
According to a probable cause statement, on January 11, 20-year-old Justus Webb and 18-year-old Devon Wright, reportedly bound a male victim by the hands and feet with both electrical tape and a belt. The subjects put the victim in a vehicle, drove on various roadways and assaulted him by use of a taser gun. The victim eventually broke free from the restraints where an altercation began. The victim stated he was kicked, stabbed and left for dead on the side of a gravel road by the subjects. Once the victim gained consciousness, he sought help from a nearby residence on Route EE in Carrollton.
During the investigation, Webb and Wright caused the incident due to statements made by the victim to the police.
Online court documents say Webb and Wright each has been charged with Class B Felonies for Frist-Degree Kidnapping- Inflicting Injury and Terrorizing and Assault in the First Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bonds for each was not set.
Webb and Wright are each due to appear for a case-hearing at 9 a.m. at Carroll County Circuit Court.
