A Sedalia man is facing two drug-related felonies after an incident last month in Pettis County.
A probable-cause statement says on April 13, Sedalia Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 1100 block of West 7th Street. Officers spoke with a resident of the home who stated 49-year-old Darren Marconette was intoxicated and broke several items in the home. Marconette was arrested at the residence as he was sleeping in a chair.
Officers conducted a search of Marconette at the residence which nothing was found. However, authorities found him to be in possession of a small baggie of methamphetamine during the booking process at the jail facility.
Online court documents say a warrant has been requested, and Marconette is charged with two class D Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Delivery of a Controlled Substance at a Jail Facility. Bond has not yet been set.
Marconette’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
