At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, May 17, Courthouse Building and Grounds Supervisor Bill Sleeper explained some emergency work is going to need to be done to repair some plumbing problems.
Sleeper explained there were several options, but one has been selected.
Sleeper said he would like for personnel in the auditor’s office to take a day off because of the work that will need to be done. He said the work should take a half-day, but they’d like to have an entire day to make sure.
Sleeper is hopeful the work can be finished sometime this week.
Due to this project being deemed an emergency, the commissioners approved emergency funds be available. At the time of the request, the cost was estimated to be under the $6,000 threshold.
