A Carrollton man who has been charged with two felonies relating to a shooting incident earlier this year in Carroll County, is due in court on Wednesday, May 23.
According to a probable-cause statement, the incident happened in the 900 block of Park Street in Carrollton on February 16. A person sustained two gunshot wounds, which required the victim to undergo multiple surgeries. 65-year-old Rex Stacy allegedly was found to have shot the person during an altercation at his residence.
Online court documents say Stacy has been charged with a Class A Felony for First-Degree Assault-Causing Serious Physical Injury and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Stacy was formally arraigned on April 2, and his next case-hearing is set for 9 a.m. at Carroll County Circuit Court.
