City Inspector and Code Official Mike Morgan asked the Marshall City Council to approve a bid received for mowing of various lots the city owns during its meeting on Monday, May 21.

Morgan explained that averaged out, each lot costs the city about $65 to $70 each time it is mowed, and the council approved the bid.
Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson also asked the council to approve a bid involving the property formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center.

The council approved his recommendation.
In other news, Mayor Mark Gooden asked the council to consider the appointments of Bob Robinson and Teresa Maples Hoey to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The council is scheduled to vote on the two persons during its next meeting on Monday, June 4.
