Two Lake Ozark residents were injured in a boating accident in Camden County on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the westbound vessel, driven by 47-year-old Christopher Miller, reportedly struck the shoreline, and Katherine Miller, a 34-year-old passenger, was ejected out of the boat.
Katherine Miller reportedly was transported by E.M.S. to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries, and Christopher Miller was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment on minor injuries. The report says neither of the boat’s occupants was wearing a safety device.
The accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the 15.9 mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.
