A 34-year-old Sedalia man has a felony warrant out for his arrest after an alleged domestic assault incident last month in Pettis County.
According to a probable-cause statement, on May 20, Sedalia Police investigators responded to Bothwell Hospital to speak with the victim of an alleged domestic assault. The victim had to have surgery to remove her spleen due to the injures she sustained and was unable to speak with the officers at that time.
On May 21, the victim stated Brandon Vogan allegedly punched her in the face twice during an argument and was struck in the back five to six times during another argument where two children witnessed the incident. The eldest child reportedly stated during an interview that Vogan had assaulted the victim by striking her in the face and back areas.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued, and Vogan is facing a Class A Felony for First-Degree Domestic Assault- Causing Serious Physical Injury. Bond has been set at $250,000 cash or surety.
Vogan is scheduled to appear for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
