A Warrensburg resident was seriously injured in a traffic crash involving three vehicles in Johnson County on Wednesday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as all three vehicles were headed southbound, and a vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Lawrence Tucker, of Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, reportedly overtook and struck the rear end of a vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Russell Pagan, of Warrensburg, which was stopped in traffic, causing Pagan’s vehicle to strike another vehicle stopped in traffic, driven by 30-year-old Jordan Fijal, of Warrensburg. Tucker’s vehicle also struck Fijal’s vehicle, and Pagan’s vehicle reportedly ran off the roadway and struck trees.
While Tucker and Fijal reportedly were not injured, Pagan was transported by Johnson County ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.
The crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. on Missouri Highway 23, one-half mile north of Route DD.
