Sometime today, about 300 bicyclists taking part in the 18th Annual Katy Trail Ride, will be pedaling into Cooper County.
According to a news release, the 232-mile trek along the Katy Trail State Park began on Monday in St. Charles.
This year’s participants reportedly range in age from 8 to 89 and come from 29 states and one Canadian Province.
Overnight stops were in Hermann on Monday and Jefferson City on Tuesday. A stop also is scheduled for later today and tonight at Kemper Park in Boonville. Cyclists are scheduled to pedal on to a stop at Liberty Park in Sedalia on Thursday, June 21.
Cyclists are scheduled to leave Sedalia at 7:30 a.m. and arrive at the Benson Convention Center in Clinton between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, June 22.
