A couple of bids were approved during the meeting of the Carrollton Town Council on Monday, June 18.
Administrative Assistant Terry Bell said one involved sealing the streets around the square.

Bell said the bid was awarded to McConnell and Associates, of North Kansas City, for $22,712. She said the actual work will take place during overnight hours so all vehicles will be off the square.
The second bid was for demolition of two houses.

Bell said the total bid was $13,000.
In other actions, the Town Council approved an amendment to update the Municipal Code and keep the park board at nine members; and gave the green light to hire two new employees for the street department. They are scheduled to begin their tenure in July.
